IMS Commissioning Engineer

We are recruiting an IMS Commissioning Engineer to join our head office team in Finchampstead.

You will provide project services to carry out configuration, commissioning, qualification and support of monitoring systems for Original Equipment Manufacturer customers, who integrate the company’s hardware and software products into their pharmaceutical production machinery.

Roles & Responsibilities

The role includes, but is not limited to, the following activities relating to Pharmagraph environmental monitoring systems:

  • Installation and commissioning of hardware, software and electrical / electronic components at customer sites.
  • Working with technical drawings for on-site termination of low voltage control panels.
  • Execution of factory acceptance tests and site validation testing.
  • Configuration of application software, Windows operating system and associated PC hardware.
  • Assisting project engineers with design documentation (including drawings) and test protocol documentation.
  • Ongoing support and maintenance of operational customer systems, by telephone, remote PC session and at customer premises.
  • Any additional task that may arise during normal day-to-day duties, in accordance with company and customer policies and company contractual obligations and/or that are required to fulfil business needs,

Key Skills

  • Computer literate with a good working knowledge of Windows Operating Systems, Drawing packages such as AutoCAD / TurboCAD, Microsoft Office programs (e.g. Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Ability to use hand tools and basic test equipment.
  • Good problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness to travel and flexibility to work outside normal hours.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Good organisational skills, with the ability to manage own time and priorities.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Professional manner when dealing with customers.
  • Good communication skills.

Education / Experience

  • Electrical / Electronic Engineering and / or relevant experience or transferable skills.
  • Qualified to at least HNC level or ONC level with the relevant depth of experience.
  • An understanding of the requirements of the pharmaceutical industry with respect to EU-GMP, GAMP and cGMP guidelines for the manufacture of pharmaceutical products is desirable.
  • Must have a valid driving license.
  • Must have a current passport.

Working arrangement

  • Working hours are 09:00-17:30 Mon-Fri excluding Bank Holidays.

  • Duties will be carried out at ASL/Pharmagraph offices in Finchampstead, Berkshire and on-site.
