Employee Ownership Trust

In 2021, the shareholding of Acquisition Systems Ltd, the parent company of Pharmagraph, transferred to an Employee Ownership Trust (EOT). This means that the employees are majority owners of the company and are represented on the Trust’s board by two elected employee representatives, an independent external trustee, a current Director, and a former Director.

The current Trustees are Timothy Cureton, Alex White, Sue Lawrence and John McCollin. Becoming employee-owned has formalised our long-held belief that the success of the company and its work comes from having a positively engaged team, where each person is invested in where they work and what they do.

Benefits of being an EOT

  • Sharing in our success – annual tax-free bonus for all employees if applicable.
  • Engaged, committed, and motivated – our employees have a meaningful say in how the business is run and operated. We have a clear shared purpose.
  • Research suggests that companies owned by employees tend to be more successful, competitive, profitable, and sustainable than companies with other ownership structures. Increased employee motivation and retention are likely to be key reasons.
