The Role: As a Service Technician, you'll provide top-notch calibration and service support to our valued customers, both on-site and from our office. Your work will ensure that critical systems operate flawlessly, contributing to advancements in healthcare and scientific research.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with your team and line management to uphold high standards in customer service, documentation, and timely execution of tasks.
- Leverage your knowledge to support and guide team members on GMP practices, compliance, and efficient work methods.
- Assist in the creation and delivery of training materials and sessions for both internal teams and customers.
- Offer valuable feedback on maintenance procedures to enhance our service department's effectiveness.
- Play an active role in departmental meetings and contribute innovative ideas.
- Coordinate with Service Administration to ensure all test equipment is calibrated and ready for upcoming jobs, and suggest new equipment as needed.
- Conduct on-site calibration of various sensors and systems, including temperature, humidity, pressure, particle counters, and gas analysers, primarily in the Life Science sector.
- Prepare and execute risk assessments and method statements to maintain a safe working environment.
- Perform routine maintenance checks on PCs at customer sites.
- Liaise with customers to schedule equipment access and provide remote and on-site support for fault diagnosis.
- Maintain and manage the ‘enVigil’ application software at customer premises.
- Explore opportunities for service department business growth by discussing potential upgrades with customers.
- Provide feedback on product improvements and potential quality issues.
- Ensure all Health and Safety equipment is up-to-date, used correctly, and that training requirements are met.
- Maintain company equipment, tools, and vehicles in top condition, following safety and service protocols.
- Stay informed on regulatory requirements and company policies.
- Attend relevant training courses to enhance your skills.
- Provide internal support to colleagues and cover for other regions as needed.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Access).
- A professional and courteous demeanor in all customer interactions.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Exceptional organizational abilities with a talent for managing time and priorities.
- Practical problem-solving skills with a hands-on approach.
- Initiative and flexibility to take on new tasks.

- Ability to supervise others, including contractors.
